This study aims to analyze the influence of Commitment (X1), Competence (X2), and Professionalism (X3) on Employee Performance (Y), both directly and through Motivation (Z) as a mediating variable, at the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (DPPPA) of Tangerang Regency. The study was motivated by variations in employees’ levels of commitment, competence, professionalism, and work motivation, which affect the agency’s performance in implementing women empowerment and child protection programs. This research employed an associative quantitative approach using a census technique involving all 125 DPPPA employees as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of 44 statement items and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that competence, professionalism, and commitment have a positive and significant effect on motivation. Competence, professionalism, and motivation also have a positive and significant effect on performance, while commitment does not have a direct effect on performance. Motivation fully mediates the effect of commitment and partially mediates the effect of competence, whereas its mediating effect on professionalism is not significant.
